Your blog and facebook … hook 'em up!

In some of my recent training seminars, I have discovered a few neat tricks with regards to Facebook and using it for your business.

Many people (and businesses) have both a Facebook profile and a blog. Do you know that if you spend about one minute on Facebook, you can set it up so that Facebook will import entries from an external blog.

This means that rather than making a post on Facebook telling people to go check out your latest blog post, Facebook will automatically post your updated blog when you publish it. It’s a neat tool… us Virtual Assistants are all about learning how to save time and be more efficient you know!

Here’s how you can set this up…

In your Facebook profile, go to the “Notes page” (under the Applications section)and select the “import a blog” page on the right side of the page. Enter the web address of your blog into the text box, read and check the Terms of Use, hit Save and, Tah Dah, you will soon see all your past blog posts put into one post and from here on in any new blog updates you publish, will have a note automatically published to your Facebook page.

The only drawback is you can only import one blog. Try it out… it saves you a few steps and also lets your Facebook connections see it all!
